As a batsman in cricket it is vital that you have an excellent grip on your bat which enables you to play the complete range of al the shots with full power and all the perfection.
The way a batsman happens to grip the bat varies from a batsman to batsman; this gets reflected in their batting style.
The easiest way considered is to grip a bat properly when you lay your bat facing down towards the land and pick it up with both hands.
To your knowledge, there is a perfect way taught by the board of cricket, which is adopted well by the people.
After when you pick up the bat make sure that you place your fingers and thumb wrapped about the centre of the handle keeping your hands close together not missing the grip.
Time and again some players rest their fore-finger down the side of the bat/handle and it is not closed around the grip, this is not suggested since it can lead to injuries, you can also end up breaking your finger, with your advancement to higher levels, with quicker delivers and superior impacts.
Make sure that your hand on top should rest nicely next to the inside abut thigh.
One must maintain a relaxed posture, keeping feet parallel and about a foot length apart. Do not forget to evenly distribute your weight, crosswise both feet and maintain your knees flexed.
