Comment SLOW PLAY or is TIGER considering himself the GOD of GOLF!!
Tiger Woods, one of the best golfers of all time has raised a concern about the conceptual design and the speed of play on the entire PGA tour. The world number one has raised concern and criticized the slow play on the PGA tour by some of the more “methodical” players. Woods in a newsletter to is fans said, “It’s been an ongoing problem on the PGA Tour for some time, and honestly believe the pace of play is faster in Europe and Japan.”
The reasons for raising such a concern was especially after the last match that he had played against JB Holmes, considered as one of the most methodical players on the circuit. Holmes has a pre-shot routine, which is actually a bit long. It includes four rounds of practice swings after which he performs several rehearsals of his hitting action before finally settling over his ball. Woods says, “The rules of golf insist on play proceeding “without undue delay” and there is where his problem lies.
At times a round can take five hours to complete, especially in the Major events in the US, and this is generally being the concern, but nobody has raised an issue other than Tiger Woods. It is for us to wait and see whether the association takes Woods seriously and finds an alternative or will this just remain as a comment.

To win a golf tournament is to get rich instantly. Similar was the case when Sean O’Hair won the PODS Championship, collecting a tidy sum of US 954,000. The weather conditions had been horrible throughout the tournament and the standings of who would win were anybody’s guess. O’Hair defeated one of the frontrunners, Stewart Cink after Cink managed only a birdie on the first two holes to fall four behind. O’Hair on the other hand finished at four-under 280.
