Harbhajan Reaches 300 Club

The ‘Turbunator’ Harbhajan Singh reached another mile stone in his career at Nagpur. While taking up the wicket of skipper Ricky Ponting, Bhajji, reached the tally of 300 wickets in his career. Ricky Ponting was clean bowled at a score of 24 runs.
The Australian side suffered earlier setback when they lost their opener Matthew Hayden even before reaching the team total of fifty. Hayden was run out to a brilliant direct hit by Rahul Dravid, when he was at 16.The partnership between Ricky Ponting and Simon Katich added up 43 runs for loss of a wicket at tea time.

Earlier, the Australian spinner Jason Krejza had showed an outstanding performance by bagging eight wickets, a gargantuan task that turned his placid debut into a dream one. The debutant ended up Indian batting by eroding the wicket of Ishant Sharma making hoim move back to pavilion for duck as the Indian campaign in the first innings ended at a score of 441 runs. He had earlier in the morning session shown Zaheer Khan and Amit Mishra the way back to rest room.
Krejza gave the Australians much awaited breakthroughs by sending back Sourav Ganguly and MS Dhoni at crucial time. Ganguly left the crease by giving a catch to Michael Clarke when he reached 85 runs while Dhoni was clean bowled at 56.
This was Dhoni’s Dhoni 12th Test fifty which made Nagpur spectators go frenzy. He made fifty by crossing the ball to all sides from time to time.
India had made a nice total in the morning session by making 403 runs for the loss of five wickets. Ganguly and Dhoni jointly smashed the Aussies side before Ganguly departed making a fine fifty. This is the last match of Ganguly. The off spinner Jason Krejza who made his debut have made it clear that he is here to make waves in the opponent’s spines.
