Paintball or Airsoft Guns?
![]() |
Although paintball guns and airsoft guns show similar traits, both attract different markets. When fast pace and hard hitting action is attributed to paintball, airsoft guns involve the use of tactics and strategies.
• The guns used in paintball and airsoft are different. Paintball guns have a hopper through which the paintballs are poured into whereas clips are used in airsoft guns. Clips are used in airsoft guns in order to load and unload the straightforward process. Meanwhile, a paintball gun makes use of a belt or vest in order to hold the cylinders of paintballs.
• Though regular cleaning and maintenance can’t be ignored for both airsoft and paintball guns, the cost of maintenance and cost of purchasing the ammunition, we come to know that airsoft guns are less expensive than paintball guns. Moreover, paintball guns need to be oiled regularly. The rifle has to be kept clean and it has to be refilled each time you want to play. On the other hand, electric and spring airsoft guns don’t need gas at all. However, a gas airsoft gun will also need refilling each time you play. Moreover, airsoft guns make use of airsoft pellets that are much cheaper to produce than the paintballs. The ammunition used by airsoft guns is also less liable to jam.
• When we compare the range of the pellets, we may say that airsoft guns score better than paintball guns since the airsoft guns have a longer range than paintball guns.
• When it comes to the degree of accuracy, airsoft guns again score better than paintball guns.
• Portability is another quality which makes airsoft guns a better choice. They are very light weight and are easy to hold. Whereas, paintball guns use large CO2 and N2 compressed air cylinder which makes them bulky.
