Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar seems completely satisfied with his 40th ton. The maestro hit another century at Nagpur and this comes in the series-deciding fourth and final match against Australia for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
Sachin calls this match an important one as it decides the winner of the series and making a century in this match is really awesome. The ace batsman was talking after the first day of the Test at the newly built VCA stadium in Jamtha, Nagpur. Tendulkar hit 109, scoring his 10th ton against Australia and fourth in Nagpur,
Before leaving the crease. He arrived to crease when India was stumbling at 116 for three before lunch.
He joined VVS Laxman to put on 146 runs. Laxman is playing his 100th Test. Both the batsmen helped the Indian side in reaching a safe position. The aim of India is to make a huge total in the first innings to add pressure on the Kangaroos.
Tendulkar hadn’t had three figures in the last seven games and was looking ahead for that here. He said that he was batting well, but century was eluding. Sachin added that he is happy while scoring well at needy occasions in crucial matches.
Sachin Tendulkar was dropped twice in the deep when on 85 and then 96 off debutant off spinner Jason Krezja. He said that the Australian bowler was unlucky and also said there were no specific plans for attacking him.
Tendulkar said the planned retirement of Sourav Ganguly after this match is no way affecting the team’s game plan and the team will be playing a normal match with out any pressure. Sachin also brushed aside the rumour that he is batting more freely after surpassing Brian Lara’s record in Mohali. Sachin also found time to complement debutant opener Murali Vijay who scored 33 and putting on 98 for the first wicket with Virender Sehwag who made a quick-fire 66.
