Turkish national team is looking forward to playing some friendly matches in Germany as part of their preparation for the European Championship 2008 which is going to be held in Austria and Switzerland from 7 June to 29 June 2008.

The Turkish national team is in Group A. Switzerland, the Czech Republic and Portugal are its counterparts in the Group. The Turks will face Slovakia in Bielefeld on May 20th. They will take on Uruguay in Bochum, five days later and on May 29th, Finland will face them in Duisburg.

The Turkish national team’s highest achievement was reaching 3rd place at the 2002 FIFA World Cup. They also reached the quarter-finals at Euro 2000 and reached the third place at the 2003 Confederations Cup.
